This ‘Battling Bruticus’ Transformers wallpaper was inspired by some of the old Generation One cartoon battles I remember fondly.

The Decepticons would be in trouble so they would unleash a combiner such as Devastator, or in this case, Bruticus – one of the most powerful Transformers in G1. The Autobots would then team up to try and take the giant gestalt down. This would always take place in an interesting scene, so I thought some ancient buildings would be a cool look to finish it off.

This one was a bit of a doozy, cutting out several toys in Photoshop and mimicking the light direction so it all appears natural to the background. The old paper texture over the top was to give it an aged look, like it was an old vintage photo (not sure why, I just wanted to lol).

I’m happy with the final result, while it’s not visually exciting as some of my newer wallpapers, I think it does the job well.
