This is the first wallpaper I made after the crash of the previous website. It was another quick and relatively easy image to create – it’s of course of the Decepticon Skywarp!

I always thought the black and purple design of Skyway was really cool in the cartoon, being a fan of those colors. So I was drawn to creating this image from my MP Skywarp figure.

While not the most cinematic or dramatic of my images, the quality of the image itself is the one of the best yet! It’s sharp and focused and was improved greatly with the artistic additions made in Photoshop.

If you watched the video above you may noticed some of the additions made. The improved lighting is one, the usual eye glow but after watching some of the cinematics from the War of Cybertron videogame, I decided to add some ‘internal lighting’ – glowing from within his torso and joints.

I thought the effect turned out well and a bit more subtle than originally planned.

The black and purple makes for a cool color scheme, which is also why I always wanted to do a Skywarp wallpaper.
