Decepticon March - Transformers Wallpaper

This was a MASSIVE undertaking! Story time…

After doing a number of these wallpapers and working on larger projects outside of my website, I often wondered what aI could create if I dedicated several weeks to one image.

My only question was “what would I create?”

I really enjoyed creating a custom environment for another of my wallpapers where Megatron was flying through a Cybertronian tunnel and thought about the possibility of doing a surface image showing cities, buildings and working in a massive chunk of the Decepticon army.

So I ran with it! This is the wallpaper that I decided to go with. So I spent weeks on this project as a bit of a fun side project and I’m overjoyed with the result.

I put a lot of effort into the background, and each figure had accurate lighting prioritized to match the environment. I even chopped up Soundwave a little in photoshop sho he would be walking – this was before I got my hands on the MP Soundwave.

Here’s a video showing the process from start to finish:

We’ve of course got Megatron, Soundwave & the Cassettes, the Seekers, Reflector, Astrotrain, Bruticus, Trypticon and many others.

If you look hard, you can see Straxus top left and you can just barely see the shape of Galvatron, Cyclonus and Scourge standing on top the building top right (the resolution doesn’t show much though).

To download this wallpaper for your computer, tablet or phone please see the images below, click to open the full file in a new tab – you can then save it. I only keep the largest size available as it can easily be stretched to fit your screen in your settings.

I usually create a nice list of all of the figures but I’ve tried to summarize as much as possible as it would be crazily long!

So…

I hope you appreciate this one. At time of writing this it is the most work I’ve ever put into a wallpaper!
