Imagine a subterranean battle taking place in Cybertron. Megatron and a small strike force are leaving a path of destruction and then completely destroy an area and then fly out at top speed with the explosions chasing them.
It’s kind of like destroying the Deathstar in return of the Jedi – only in a ‘cool Decepticons don’t look at explosions’ kind of way.
In this image I created the background entirely using other images of everyday objects and buildings and overlaid the Decepticons on top.

I think the effect is good and the depth of this tunnel they’re escaping through has a sense of scale that would make a good scene in a modern day film (only using G1 designed characters – not this Bayverse stuff!)
